What does pkgadd command do?

Answers

- It installs a signed or unsigned software package.
- Removes any existing packages installed with the same name as of that we are adding.

Add package to the system using pkgadd.
Syntax:
pkgadd –a admin_file –d device-name pkgid

Verify if the package is installed successfully
#pkgchk –v pkgid

Example:
pkgadd -d /cdrom/cdrom0/solaris10/product SUNwaudio
