If the source of unlawful acquisition is known, say a person or institution, it should be returned either directly or indirectly. If the source is not known or cannot be ascertained, say, through sale of film-tickets, music cassettes or wine, etc., this condition is known as ‘Maj’hul-ul-Maalik, that is, owner is unknown. In this case, the person should hand it over to Naeb-e- Imam, or his representative, who will spend it in Allah’s way. Those who fear Allah and follow His Path, Allah will take care of His Affairs.
