Deep under the crust of the earth is molten rock or lava, also called magma. It is under great pressure because of the intense heat around it and the weight of the earth’s crust. When this hot boiling mass finds an outlet in the underside of the earth’s crust, it comes through the surface as lava.   _{Your Comment}
