How does polymorphism work in perl? Give an example.

Polymorphism in perl means that the methods defined in the base class will always override the methods defined in the parent class.
For ex.
package A;
sub foo
{
print("Inside A::foo
");
}
package B;
@ISA = (A);
sub foo
{
print("Inside B::foo
");
}
package main;
B->foo();
In the above example the foo() method defined in class B overrides the inheritance from class A. Polymorphism is primarily used to extend the functionality of a class that exists without changing the entire class.   Your Comment
