How do i know how compression is progressing?
Answers
Use the console command : 
     SET COMPRESS SCREEN=ON
This creates a new screen which shows compression as it takes place. The first field shows the file being processed (an asterisk means   decompression). The second field shows the compression ratio. The third and fourth fields are bytes/sec in and out. The fifth field is the compressed size, and the sixth field is the original size. The final group of five numbers are debug values having to do with how the file was compressed, whether the file could be compressed, etc.   Your Comment
