Question
According to the Islamic Shariah, is it permissible for one to participate in elections in a non-Islamic state, or be an election official, a candidate to be voted for, a voter or a supporter of a particular political party, when there is knowledge that most of the candidates are corrupt individuals and often the election is rigged and even when voted in to power one would have to follow the constitution of that country which may be different with that of the Holy Qur’an and the teachings of the Ahlul Bayt [a.s]?
