Can anyone suggest how to do gel permeation chromatography with LIPOPHILIC SEPHADEX LH-20?Suggest the solvent to swell the gel and eluting solvent. Is it good enough to remove resinous and gummy materials from oleresins to isolate the compounds?
Answers
Mine is not a compound, but oleoresin. It is soluble in hexane, diethyl ether etc. This resin contain triterpenoids. We had isolated some of them by column chromatography.
But all fractions need to purify again and makes life difficult. I was thinking whether to use Sephadex LH-20 lipophilic-   Your Comment
