Question
Which modern psychological perspective is behaviorism a part of?

Answers

Behaviorism, in it's modern form radical behaviorism, makes up the Behavioral Perspective in psychology. It believes that behavior should be the unit of analysis and that behaviors are controlled by the environment, not hypothetical, internal constructs like the ego or the unconscious. Additionally, it holds that behaviors should be objectively measured and that operational definitions of terms is essential to scientific study. Additionally, modern behaviorism accepts private events (thoughts, feelings, and emotions) as real and has begun to study these.   Your Comment
